This hamper is handwoven by an association of more than 100 rural Wolof women in the West African nation of Senegal. The artisans hand-weave each of these hampers using abundant and renewable cattail stalks bound with salvaged plastic strips procured from a local mat factory. These handcrafted baskets may vary slightly as compared to the photos, as each set is unique.
